THE CHALLENGE

Harrison Clarke Chartered Surveyors wanted to do something different with their content. Not another explainer video. Not a company overview. Something that actually started a conversation worth having in the construction and property industry.

The brief was to produce a long form interview between Tim Clarke, Managing Director of Harrison Clarke, and Ryan Godfrey, Director and Founder of Elements Architectural Studio — two professionals with deep expertise, genuine respect for each other’s disciplines and plenty of honest things to say about how the industry actually works.

The challenge was creating something that felt like a real conversation rather than a rehearsed performance. Something that industry professionals would watch and share because it was genuinely useful, and that homeowners and developers would find accessible enough to act on.

THE PLAN

We produced the full interview from concept through to final delivery, directing both Tim and Ryan through a wide-ranging conversation that covered everything from the biggest misconceptions about architects to the real value of a party wall surveyor, why clients should always instruct a QS before approaching contractors, and why the cheapest consultant is rarely the right choice.

The production was structured to feel conversational and natural while covering enough ground to be genuinely informative. Chapter markers were built into the edit so that viewers could navigate directly to the topics most relevant to them, increasing watch time and making the video more useful as a long term content asset.

Everything was optimised for YouTube from the ground up, including the title, description, chapters and tags, ensuring the video had the best possible chance of being discovered by the right audience.

THE RESULTS

The finished video gave Harrison Clarke a flagship piece of thought leadership content that positioned them and their network as knowledgeable, trustworthy and genuinely worth listening to. Rather than simply telling potential clients what they do, the video showed how they think — which is a far more powerful way to build trust in a professional services sector where reputation is everything.

For a business built on expertise and relationships, a conversation that demonstrates both is the most effective marketing asset they could have.
