At Creation DMC, we’ve returned from a refreshing break with renewed energy and a deeper commitment to creating exceptional videos while prioritising environmental sustainability. As a leading video production company, we recognise the importance of reducing our ecological footprint, and we’re excited to share how we’re taking tangible steps to align our work with eco-conscious values. Our recent project with Unloc & Peer Action Collective - East of England was a testament to this ethos. Not only did we capture powerful stories of young changemakers, but we also ensured the entire production was as green as possible. Here’s how we made that happen:

Sustainable Production Practices

We meticulously planned each aspect of the shoot, using energy-efficient equipment and minimising waste. We also optimised travel routes to cut down on emissions and implemented recycling and waste management protocols on set. Every decision was made with sustainability in mind, reducing our environmental impact at every stage of production.

Green Transportation

Whenever possible, we used electric and hybrid vehicles for transport. This decision allowed us to reduce our carbon footprint, and it served as a reminder of the industry’s potential to adopt more sustainable transport solutions.

Eco-Conscious Equipment

To further reduce our energy consumption, we relied on natural lighting where feasible, using bounce boards instead of electric lights. This approach not only cut down on electricity use but also showcased the potential of environmentally friendly alternatives in video production.

Supporting Local, Sustainable Businesses

Another key step was sourcing locally-produced refreshments from vendors committed to sustainability. By choosing local suppliers, we reduced transportation emissions and contributed to the local economy, a win-win for both the environment and our community.

Working with Unloc & Peer Action Collective was an inspiring experience. We had the honour of highlighting the work of passionate young people committed to making a difference in their communities. Our goal is to amplify their voices and encourage others to get involved with their powerful cause.
