THE CHALLENGE

Palo Alto Networks, Unloc, and Verizon Business had built something genuinely impressive. The Skills for Success Days brought young people face to face with cybersecurity professionals, gave them real-world scenarios to work through, and sent them home with a completely different picture of what a career in tech could look like.

The challenge was capturing all of that in a single video. Events like this move fast. There are ten things happening at once, energy in every corner of the room, and moments that disappear if you are not ready for them. The video needed to hold the excitement of the day while never losing sight of the point: this programme changes how young people see their futures.

On top of that, three major organisations were involved. Palo Alto Networks, Verizon Business, and Unloc each had a role to communicate and a brand to represent. The video needed to do all of that without feeling like a corporate tick-box exercise. It needed to feel real.

THE PLAN

We worked closely with Unloc in pre-production to get clear on the key messages before we arrived on the day. Cybersecurity is accessible. These careers are for everyone. This programme is making a difference. Once we knew what the video needed to say, we could plan how to show it.

On the day, we moved through the event capturing students in the thick of it. Case study sessions, myth-busting discussions, group problem-solving, the final presentations where students pitched their solutions to real cyber threat scenarios. Candid, unscripted, genuine. The kind of footage that only happens when young people forget the camera is there.

We also sat down with volunteers from Palo Alto Networks and Verizon Business for short interviews. Their stories, their career paths, the reason they showed up to spend a day with students. Those moments gave the video its heart. Young people watching back could see themselves in these professionals, which was exactly the point.

In the edit, we used a fast-paced, dynamic approach to match the energy of the day. Quick cuts, motion graphics, a soundtrack that kept things moving. The goal was a video that felt as alive as the event itself.

THE RESULTS

The finished video captured everything the Skills for Success Days stood for. The energy of students discovering a world they had not considered before. The generosity of professionals giving their time to inspire the next generation. The ambition of three organisations putting real resource behind youth education.

Unloc, Palo Alto Networks, and Verizon Business all praised the final cut, noting how well it balanced the energy of the event with the weight of its educational purpose. That balance is harder to get right than it sounds, and we are proud of how it landed.

The video has since become a key promotional asset for future Skills for Success Days events, helping recruit new partners, new schools, and new students to the programme. One shoot day. Ongoing impact.
